Timeless Textures - April Step It Up Blog Hop

Welcome to the April 2017 Edition of the We Create Bloggers Step It Up Blog Hop! The theme is to inspire stampers with a basic design, and at least one alternate "stepped up" version of that same design. My project this month features the Timeless Textures stamp set (available in wood-mount or clear-mount), and is actually just a simple greeting swap on the same card design.

Stampin' Supplies: Timeless Textures stamp set, One Big Meaning stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount), Pool Party ink & card stock, Night of Navy ink & card stock, Whisper White card stock, Brights Sequin Assortment, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin' Supplies: Timeless Textures stamp set, Stylized Birthday stamp (wood-mount only), Pool Party ink & card stock, Night of Navy ink & card stock, Whisper White card stock, Brights Sequin Assortment.

Because of the difference in size of the greetings, there is a little more background stamping on the thanks card than on the birthday card, but I think the script of the birthday greeting really jazzes up the whole card instantly. Both cards are pretty straight-forward, simple stamping, nothing bulky to cost extra in mailing. The Night of Navy card stock layer of the thank you card was actually raised a little with Stampin' Dimensionals, and, though I didn't do that on the birthday card, I do like that better.

If you wanted to be a bit more fancy, you might add a knot or bow with some Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine, or use Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with the Heat Tool on the greeting of either card.

  3. The blue and white combo always look so clean and crisp. I like the bold greetings with the background grunge.
